Business Intelligence
I was responsible for the development, support, and maintenance of the institute's QlikView applications within the Development and Innovation Management department. This area handled the validation of payments to providers, processing approximately $300 million per month.
I designed reports and dashboards to support decision-making using business intelligence (BI) tools. Data was sourced from various systems, mainly Oracle and SAP. I led the development of three major applications from inception:
Project 1: Scoring System for Providers
Developed a system to evaluate provider behavior and detect potential data deviations or fraud. This project involved classification algorithms and clustering techniques to analyze a high volume of data — around 5 million affiliates served by 10,000 providers monthly. Each provider had a detailed historical record across multiple modules and time periods. The model significantly enhanced fraud detection and generated substantial cost savings.
Project 2: Expense Projection Model
Built a model using regression analysis and moving averages to forecast future expenses and reduce budget deviations. The system dynamically selected the most accurate regression model and visualized results through interactive graphs. This enabled reliable projections for multi-year budgeting.
Project 3: Georeferencing Dashboard
Created visual maps to identify high-density regions, locate nearby service branches, and reduce travel time for affiliates. Integrated the Google Maps API to enrich incomplete data and applied Euclidean distance calculations for optimizing provider-affiliate pairings. This significantly improved healthcare accessibility.
Project 4: Planning & Forecast Dashboard
Developed a comprehensive dashboard that transformed information analysis and accelerated strategic decision-making. This tool became central to executive board discussions and long-term planning.

Professional Vision
I am a results-oriented professional with a focus on delivering high-impact solutions. People often ask why, as an economist, I’ve devoted my career to data. My response: data is a company’s strategic asset. Proper use of data ensures control, and control ensures governance. Without control, nothing can be governed.
From strategy to execution, data plays a central role in planning, measurement, evaluation, and continuous improvement. As change accelerates, traditional education has failed to keep pace with market needs. I aim to be part of the solution — contributing to a revolution even greater than the industrial one — by helping build a future shaped by capable, adaptable professionals.
