Schedule
The course consists of 6 classes, each two hours long. It takes place every Saturday at the same time, meaning one class per week, conducted online using the Google Meet platform, which requires no installation.


First Class
• What is Python
• Data types, arithmetic and logical operations
• Simple types: numbers, strings, booleans
• Variables and programs
• Components of simple programs.


Second Class
• Working with Excel from Python
• How to import an Excel file into Python
• Automate simple tasks


Third Class
• Functions. Variable scope.


Fourth Class
• Conditionals
• Loops. Tuples and Lists.
• Integrative exercises
• Examples


Fifth Class
• Exceptions.
• Exercises.


Sixth Class
• Map and filter.
• Examples and exercises.


Intended Audience
Students, economists, BI analysts, financial analysts, and any curious individuals in general. These skills are applicable to multiple professions. The target audience for this course is anyone interested in combining data with the power of processors, generating relevant information for process management. There are no prerequisites beyond high school math; this course was designed to be accessible to everyone.


Expected Outcomes
• Use the Python language to automate simple tasks.
• Learn Python’s basic libraries: Pandas, Numpy, and Matplotlib.
• Create visualizations that help present a problem


Methodology
At the beginning of the course, a survey is conducted regarding the students' knowledge and individual goals. Through theoretical and practical classes, students are prepared for a final evaluation at the end of the course.
